Fulvio Petratto discovers Lil' Orbits is a stand alone business in Italy.

Besides running a highly successful art and visual supply company he has added Lil' Orbits to his many exhibitions held in major trade centers in Italy. He recently commented "At first we bought a Lil' Orbits machine just to attract traffic to our booth and now we see that this business is very profitable and we're just getting started with other independent locations."

Tanja Kliatska wants to become an "Expert Donut Maker"

Tanja recently visited our offices to make sure she knows all the ins and outs of making Lil' Orbits before returning to the Ukraine where she plans to open several operations in Kiev. Tanja caught on quickly and should be off to a good start.

Then....

A little humor in our history

Back in 1976 my grandfather-in-law was staying with us. "Gramps" as we called him, was one of those would-be inventors only none of his inventions ever made it to the market place.

We had a pontoon boat at the time and Gramps wanted to save gas money and make it wind driven with a big sail.

He had an inspiration (oh, oh). He had spotted an aluminum light pole that was laying in the ditch by our nearby highway. "This was it", he thought. "A perfect mast with a little cutting to size would do it." he enthused.

He recruited Charlie and away they went with one of our donut trucks and somehow strapped this long pole to the roof. Down the major highway they went until flashing lights and sirens made them come to a screeching halt.

"What do you guys think you're doing. This is state property and you are forbidden to abscond with it", the State Trouper demanded.

Immediately the donut truck was impounded and Gramps and Charlie were whisked off to jail.

Later that day Charlie called saying "we're in jail, can you bail us out"? My wife and I thought it was a joke and hung up laughing.

The warden finally called and it was true. After a night in the hoosegow they were released on probation. They appeared before the judge who had to hold back his laughter at such a crazy, bizarre incident. The police in attendance also chuckled as such an unheard of oddball case. Charlie and Gramps paid a small fine and we finally got our donut truck back less the light pole, of course!

At least it made the local papers and Lil' Orbits got some publicity even though a bit dubious!

Graduation Party Was too Successful.

That's right. Charlie hosted a mid night party for 200 recent high school graduates which included his son, Johnathan, (my Grandson) in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota with our donut machine and was the hit of the show. Donors had brought 30 Domino's pizzas, hundreds of BBQ wings, 30 feet of Subway sandwiches, four big sheet cakes and 50 lbs. of fresh fruit. Lil' Orbits were so popular that the sponsors asked him to quit serving at 2:30 AM. The grads ate about 2 dozen Lil' Orbits each and ignored all the other food that was waiting to be eaten!! The party ended at 5:30 AM.

Now that's a switch.
